This is the first of 2 DVD’s in the ‘Sign 2 It’ range. ‘Everyday Conversation’ is a fantastic new teaching and practice DVD all rolled into one.

‘Small Talk’ takes the tears, frustration and guesswork out of parenting by letting your baby talk to you with their hands long before they can speak.

Babies know what they want...let them tell you! Babies naturally use gesture to communicate with you. (If they put their hands in the air you pick them up, if they point, you look at what they’re showing you).

Babies can move their hands far sooner than they can form words and from a very early age (8-10 months) they have plenty to say!

‘Small Talk’ is a complete Baby Signing course that shows you how to teach your baby specific signs so they can ask for milk, food or a cuddle long before they can say the words. Because you understand them, they no longer need to cry. It’s a fantastic feeling when your baby starts to communicate with you… Why wait any longer than you have to?

This DVD also contains a useful additional section on Signing with special needs children.

‘Sign In’ is the first in the series of videos produced by ‘What’s the sign for…?’. It is presented by Karen Denis (verbally) and the Sign Language is taught by Anita Duffy.

‘Sign In’ is aimed at complete beginners and lasts approx. 25 minutes.

SIGN IN TOPICS INCLUDE:

the alphabet, numbers, greetings, general conversation and conversational closures.

It is presented (verbally) by Karen Denis, and the Sign Language is taught by Anita Duffy and Gary Taylor.

The video is divided into eight sections. Each section begins with useful relevant sign vocabulary, and progresses to example signed clips and/or quick revision sections to aid learning.

‘Sign Up’(Part A), is suitable for Beginners, those studying for Level 1, or people wishing to revise and review what they have learned previously.

SIGN UP (PART A) TOPICS INCLUDE: the alphabet, meeting people, making conversation, jobs & careers, hobbies & interests, describing people, grammer & verbs and ending conversations.

‘Sign Up’ (Part B) is the third in the series of videos produced by ‘What’s the sign for…?’, and is the ‘sister’ to SIGN UP (PART A). It is also presented (verbally) by Karen Denis, and the Sign Language is taught by Anita Duffy and Gary Taylor.

Continuing on from 'Sign Up - Part A'. The video is divided into thirteen sections. Each section begins with useful relevant sign vocabulary, and progresses to example signed clips and/or quick revision sections to aid learning.

‘Sign Up’(Part B), is suitable for beginners, those studying for Level 1, or people wishing to revise and review what they have learned previously.

SIGN UP (PART B) TOPICS INCLUDE:

houses & rooms in the house, placement & signing space, food & drink, buildings, getting around/directions, numbers & time, months and weather.

Stories and Role Play for Sign Language Practice

'See It Signed' is presented by 5 sign language tutors (Anita Duffy, Gary Taylor, Pauline Hodgson, Sandra Teasdale and John Wojcik) and is presented verbally by Karen Denis (Teacher of the Deaf).

‘See It Signed’ is aimed at those preparing for the Level 1 exam. It shows the examiners presenting stories in 4 parts, demonstrates signed picture stories, and shows examples of role play.

‘See It Signed’ is a great resource for anyone who wants to see ‘how it should be done!’.

Narratives for BSL level 1 exam practice

If you’ve ever wanted to see Deaf examiners showing how a story should be signed… this is the DVD for you!

Picture this …signed (Level 1) features 5 Sign Language tutors signing 30 (4 part) picture stories at Level 1 standard.
